In yet the latest indicator that governments will not allow unregulated expansion of cryptocurrencies, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has formally advised Coinbase Global, Inc., an online cryptocurrency platform listed on the Nasdaq exchange, that it will bring legal charges against the company if it launches its “Lend” product as originally planned.
