This spring has seen some pretty exciting developments at Ford Motor Company, with a $1.8 billion investment in Oakville, Ontario beginning in 2024 to transform their assembly complex into a Canadian hub of electric vehicle manufacturing. Ford is planning to manufacture two million electric vehicles globally by the end of 2026.

Don’t ditch the lithium space #4

On March 2, 2021 we wrote about LTHM.N. While the dramatic run up in share price since Fall 2020 went a little too far, news today (March 30, 2021) provides ongoing confirmation of the investing thesis. In reaction to the news, the stock jumped US$1.16 to US$16.91 by the close of markets, or 7.3651 percent.

Don’t ditch the lithium space #3

We have had one major disappointment in the lithium space, being Nemaska Lithium (formerly NMX.TO), but, as we have written previously, other investments such as LAC.TO have been great opportunities and have performed incredibly well (trading at the time of writing (March 2, 2021) at $25.45). We have also managed to ride the Vision Lithium Inc. (VLI.V) wave, selling on February 11, 2021 as high as $0.93. With the shares trading now at $0.33, we will continue to watch to see if there is an opportune time to get back in.
